How long have you been building custom homes and what types of homes do you build?
We have been building custom homes professionally for more than 18 years with a dedication to making sure we exceed all of our customers expectations. We have built homes ranging anywhere from an exquisite and very custom 1000 sq./ft. guest cottage to a 8800 sq./ft. Mediterranean style estate with a 270 degree view on top of Camano Island. Building what the customer wants has been our passion since the beginning. Our completed styles include, Contemporary modern, Mountain Estate, Mediterranean, Craftsman, and North West homes.
How many homes do you build at the same time and how can you ensure that my project will be a priority?
Our focus is one large project at a time. When you hire us to build your new home, we dedicate a team of craftsman to your project. The team will include a project foreman and 2-5 guys reporting to him depending on the phase of the project. The foreman or lead will be on site everyday something is going on at your home, ensuring all quality standards are met and timelines are adhered to. This lead will supervise and coordinate any sub-contractors and will be as communicative as you would like them to be with the progress of your home. This dedicated team is the only way to make sure things don’t slip through the cracks and ensure the quality of home we put our name behind is achieved. You are our number one priority when you hire us to build your home and we are here to walk you through every step of the process.
How long does it typically take to build a new home?
The timeline to build a new home can vary greatly depending on the size of the home, the style of the home, the lot, and what time of year the home starts. Once we have a building plan put together and permits in hand we will provide you with a timeline detailing what kind of progress you can expect and when you can move into your new home. Most homes in the Suncadia/Tumble creek area take between 12 – 18 months to complete.
How much does it cost to build a new home?
There are a lot of factors that influence the cost of a new home. The size of the home and the topography of the lot are the initial factors that can determine cost. Interior and exterior finishes and quality are the next major factors. After a few meetings where we can discuss styles and design features we can narrow down the budget to a reasonable range. Once we have a detailed permit set of plans created we can get the expected cost to nearly exact before we even break ground on the new home.
Can I select and/or provide certain fixtures or finishes to be installed in my new home?
It is always encouraged for our customers to be involved in the process as much as they want to be. We have had customers who hand us a set of plans and ask us to call them when the house is complete and we have had customers who were on site everyday (for 18 months) designing specifics and working with our team to create their dream. We hope our customers feel comfortable being as involved as they want to be. It is our goal to make building a new home as enjoyable as possible. So absolutely, if there is an element of the home that you want to choose specifically or provide we are happy to install it. Typically we work closely with our customers to choose all the fixtures and finishes for their new home. With our guidance and expertise it can be a very enjoyable process for the customer.
Do you walk your customers through the entire process of building a new home and if so what does that process look like?
Making sure our customers understand the entire process of building a new home is a priority of ours. We are here to provide as much information as the customer would like. Typically, we walk the customer through the design process and as a team, work with the chosen architect to finalize a design that they are excited about. Through this first process we spend some time on the property determining the orientation of the home to make sure the views are taken advantage of and the home looks like it belongs on the lot. From there we work with the architect to get the plans approved by Suncadia/Tumble Creek and then we take them to the county for approval. We then provide you with an anticipated schedule and work with you to finalize fixtures and finishes. The project lead is with you 100% of the time on this exciting journey and will share with you project updates, photos if you’re out of town, and provide you any specific details you might be curious about.
Do you work with the Architect, Engineer, Suncadia Review, Kittitas County Building Department, Kittitas County Fire Marshall, Forestry Department, and all Utility departments to get everything ready to both begin and complete the building process?
Yes, we can handle everything that needs to be done to get your new home approved for construction, all the way through to handing you the keys to your new home.
How do you ensure premium quality and efficiency in a new construction project?
By having a dedicated team focused exclusively on your home, we can ensure constant experienced eyes on the progress. This team is constantly making sure things are done to our standards and making sure progress is on track. Our dedicated crew is also working hands on to build your home. They have access to the correct number of skilled workers to get the job done on schedule. We also specialize in planning projects very efficiently. We make sure we are constantly tracking lead times on materials and making sure we order the specified materials on time to prevent delays. Quality and efficiency is what everyone on our team strives for and is dedicated to.

What do you love about this industry and why do you build custom homes?
From the time I could stack blocks I have always had a passion for building something. That something has just changed from Lego houses to building lasting family estates for people to enjoy for more than a life time. The enjoyment of building things better than everyone else and at times greener than anyone else constantly drives me to expect excellence from my employees, sub-contractors and myself. I enjoy working with customers to build their dreams, I enjoy educating them on the process, and I enjoy their excitement throughout the process.
